A Special Delivery
The name that is above every name
1 John 4:18 (NIV)
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)
3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
Philippians 4:4-8
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Fear has been gripping the nation... as more and more people contract the virus, the peculiar and unpredictable way the virus is affecting people (from no symptoms to immeasurable pain and difficulty), as the death toll increases, we have plunged into lockdown for at least the next two weeks... it is easy for anxiety to rise for our hearts to be fearful and disquieted. However, we are to remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear...

Perfect love casts out all fear
Perfect: teleos
- Brought to its end, completed, finished, of full age, mature
- Wants or needs nothing else to be completed, fully grown
It is a time for us to act in love; reach maturity in our love- to truly consider and reach out to others. In doing so we allow fear to be eradicated...
My peace from Christ himself, personally given to us. It has not only been given to us, but it has been left with us. When someone leaves something with you it suggests that it has been loaned to us for safe keeping. We need to take care of it. We need to guard this peace.
One, peace, quietness, prosperity
- This peace only comes from God...
- This peace is not predicated on our circumstance
- This peace is the kind of peace that says: Whatever my lot, Lord, You have taught me to say, It is Well...
- This peace is not linked to our natural understanding
- This peace is fuelled by thanksgiving
- How can we achieve our perfect peace?
- Perfect peace comes from perfect love
PRAYER

PRAYER POINT 3: Those who are vulnerable and the elderly
