Serve Him Right

The focus this ministry year and beyond is on our commitment to serving God and sharing our resources (which God has given us) of:

Treasure
Time and
Talent

with the local church and the Kingdom at large.

This is stewardship.

We need to 'serve Him (God) right (in the best way possible).

Theme Scriptures:

Colossians 3:23-24

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

1 Peter 4:10

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

How devoted and dedicated are we to serve God with what He has given us?

We want to empower, enrich and inspire each and everyone in the church community to become servers (volunteers) and to understand that serving is part of our worship to God and our mission, as His body here on earth.

How do we 'Serve Him Right'?

We will be people of:

Integrity: we do what we say and we live out our name
Intentionality: we do everything with purpose and on purpose
Interest: we give our attention to and prioritise things that will help us grow in our Christian walk
Integration: we work together always

We need to serve God like how He serves us
Our service must be motivated by love and grace

Serve them out of sin
Serve them out of sadness
Serve them out of self
Walk through the crowd and fill the gaps
When you serve, you add value to people’s lives, the body of Christ and our local church
The more they seem to reject you is the more you serve
The more they criticise, is the more you serve and show love

If you serve Him right, you will serve them right and you will serve the church right
