Sermon: Yahweh: The Covenant Keeper

Passage: Genesis 15: 6-11

• The Hebrew word for covenant is beriyth
• Beriyth means 'to cut a covenant'
• God is a covenant keeper
• God made a covenant with the fallen planet

1. The Abrahamic covenant

God makes a covenant with sinful man, covenants are established so that God can bring man into blessing

2. The Mosaic Covenant

3. The Davidic covenant

God establishes and develops his covenant with redeemed man - the eternal covenant

Immanuel means God with us

Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice, Jesus came to break the power off the enemy. He brought freedom. The word testament is another word for covenant

Jesus is:

• The eternal covenant maker
• The eternal covenant keeper
• The eternal covenant maker

The blood of Jesus satisfies and makes peace

And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.
