But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6.33

Amidst the many challenges we faced and the sad reality that some of our loved ones did not cross over into 2018, we are grateful to the Lord for his grace, goodness and mercy throughout the past year. “God is good- and I’m a witness!” There is a common wisdom in the business world that, highly effective people habitually practice the principle of putting first things first. 

Sometimes referred to as the law of prioritising in time management. In scripture it is known as the law of 1st things. God established this law with Moses before Israel entered the Promised Land (Exodus 13.2). It was an object lesson to teach us that what we do with the first thing determines what happens to the rest. 

This applies to our tithes as well as our time. So as we close another chapter and turn a new page, we begin by dedicating a whole week to Fasting & Prayer. In so doing, we seek first the heart, mind, presence and purpose of God knowing that all that we need to succeed in 2018 will be added. Let us return to the Power of Prayer 7th-13th January.
