Reopening the Sanctuary NTA Tooting
Dear members and friends of NTA Tooting we are writing to keep you appraised of our plans to begin the phased re-opening of the Sanctuary and building at Beechcroft Road. As a part of the phased easing of lockdown restrictions, the UK Government has announced that places of worship can resume meeting for public worship from 4July 2020.
Here at NTA Tooting we plan to delay opening our doors for corporate worship until Sunday 2nd August 2020. In anticipation to the Government’s announcement, we carried a comprehensive risk assessment on the building and have already taken steps to ensure that key protocols around cleaning, hygiene, health and safety are in place. We plan to use the weeks leading up to the reopening to make the premises as Covid secure as is possible for the safe return of our members and friends.
We are pleased to learn from a recent poll of our members that the overwhelming majority of you are keen to resume worshipping at the sanctuary at the earliest opportunity. This is encouraging to hear. Of course, we understand that some of our members will need to remain shielded for a while longer. We wish to assure all our members that we will continue to provide pastoral care and worship experience to you whether you attend church at the Sanctuary or simultaneously through our online broadcast into your home.
In the lead up to the reopening we will provide further details of arrangements for attendance, times of services, seating plan, physical distancing and so on. In the meantime, we need to significantly increase our usher, stewards and security teams and ask that members contact the office to let us know of your availability to serve in these areas or in any other capacity.
Grace and peace
