What Is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of sessions.
The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith and the meaning of life.
It’s relaxed, non-threatening, low key, friendly and fun.
Listen, learn, discuss, discover and ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
How Does it Work?
No two Alphas look the same but generally, they have these key things in common;
Food - There will be a meal together at the beginning of each session which gives people a chance to get to know each other.
Talk - The Alpha Course consists of a series of talks addressing key issues relating to the Christian faith.
Discussion - After each talk, we divide into small groups to discuss the topic of the evening, ask questions and express opinions.
Alpha At The Sanctuary
Alpha is held at The Sanctuary, The home of the New Testament Assembly Tooting. The course is based around small groups of about 12 people, hosted by one or two leaders whose role is to facilitate and encourage discussion. The whole course usually lasts for 10 weeks, with a day or weekend away in the middle.
